Ohio-Licensed RVT Role – Practice at the Top of Your License 

AcutePet Urgent Care is seeking an Ohio-licensed Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our Beavercreek hospital serving the Dayton metro area. This role is perfect for licensed RVTs who are passionate about high-quality patient care and advanced technical medicine. 

Our urgent care model offers the fast-paced clinical experience of ER with a sustainable schedule, supportive leadership, and no overnight shifts. 

Schedule Designed for Work-Life Balance 

  • Open 7 days/week: 10am–10pm 

  • No overnight or on-call shifts 

  • Typical 12-hour shifts (fewer workdays per week)

Key Responsibilities – Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) 

  • Triage urgent care and walk-in patients 

  • Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement 

  • Monitor anesthesia and assist with procedures 

  • Run in-house diagnostics and laboratory testing 

  • Take and assist with digital radiographs 

  • Provide skilled nursing care and patient monitoring 

  • Educate clients and support discharge instructions 

  • Maintain accurate and compliant medical records 

  • Collaborate closely with veterinarians in a fast-paced urgent care setting 

Practice at the Top of Your License 

At AcutePet, our Registered Veterinary Technicians are empowered to fully utilize their credentials, including: 

  • Advanced patient triage 

  • Anesthesia monitoring

Required Qualifications  

  • Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in Ohio (required) 

  • Ability to perform technical skills independently and confidently 

  • Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment 

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills 

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced urgent care environment 

  • Availability for 12-hour shifts, including evenings and rotating weekends
